Our sweet and cuddly April has been living in a kennel for more than a year with our rescue partner, Orphans of the Storm. Can you give her a home?

April is smart and loves to "give paw." She will alternate between the two paws, and it's so cute! April is looking for a foster or adoptive home that will help continue her training, but what's great is she will get any needed behavior support free of charge upon request as a Safe Humane Court Case Dog. April does need to be the only pet in the home, but she promises to give you all the love in her heart (and unlimited "paws,” too!). After everything she has been through, April deserves to rest her head in a loving home.

Sweet April was found filthy and skinny on an abandoned doorstep with no food or water. Thanks to a call from a concerned citizen, and the help of Chicago Animal Care and Control and Safe Humane Chicago, she made her way to Orphans as a Safe Humane Court Case Dog.
